🎬 César Jones was born in La Plata, Argentina, where he currently resides. From a young age, he showed a special interest in cinema and visual arts, exploring their limits and questioning established conventions. He studied at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the National University of La Plata, specializing in Audiovisual Communication. Additionally, he completed studies in Philosophy and Psychology, two areas that profoundly influence his work. His academic background and critical perspective led him to a unique approach in his cinematic exploration.
🔥 Jones began to delve into auteur cinema in the mid-2000s, initially exploring the documentary genre. However, his inclination towards themes of sexuality and eroticism led him to pornographic cinema. Since 2010, he has focused on auteur pornographic cinema, a little-explored territory in Argentina. Through his experimental style and transgressive narratives, he has created a distinctive mark that challenges traditional norms of this genre, positioning himself as a director who questions and expands the boundaries of pornography.

🖖🏽 CÉSAR JONES in an interview with NOISE is the Message
The filmmaker and pornographic cinema author, César Jones, appeared on the radar of El RUIDO in 2010. Months before the launch of this project, it was in the editorial office of the newspaper El CIUDADANO & la Región, the name that this graphic venture had at that time, and it was alongside another name, Víctor Maytland. At that moment, a pseudobiographical film was premiering featuring Maytland himself, accompanied by Adrián Martel, a former actor from Alberto Olmedo‘s casts.
This is how we first met César. In that context, and a few years later, we managed to establish the first contact. Since then, we have observed how this filmmaker’s artistic life has consolidated, thanks to his persistence in a denigrated, misunderstood genre that is constantly subjected to value judgments.
His work speaks for itself, and it is here that the work becomes César’s voice, who has been working in the genre for over 20 years. He is a fundamental reference in the southern part of the continent and, with his professional dedication, seeks his place in the ranks of the industry, in his own way and at his own pace.

💻 About our PROCESS
We usually equip our audio files with a significant amount and variety of processes, mainly because we adhere to two important principles we’ve learned over the years. The first comes from the cinema of Andrei Tarkovsky, an artist we admire daily, not only for his work but also for his commitment to it. The second is based on layer work, where one part we inherited from Phil Spector and the other from Walter Murch.
This time, our process focused on breaking the linearity a bit and clarifying the message to be communicated. Overprocessing the audio didn’t seem worthwhile this time; therefore, we brought it to the forefront. Yes, we made some adjustments in the editing with our friend editor, Oceanaudio, and from the montage, which, although it may not be noticeable in the end, required two days of work.
The montage was done in Ableton Live 11, and then we tagged the different audio files with TAG&Rename Portable. We are aware of the importance of including details such as BPM, artist, work, year, and genre in each file, along with authorship and composition credits. This is crucial, especially in a world where some still believe that one person’s work can be attributed to another.
Thus, a new NOISE is ready to be shared, carrying with it the essence of our sonic philosophy and the awareness of archive preservation.
